Job summary

RWE Generation UK is offering a 13-month industrial placement within the Outage Planning and Delivery Team. Based at Didcot, the role supports project planning, coordination and delivery across gas-fired assets, with exposure to operations, maintenance and engineering teams.

You will develop skills in planning, HSE documentation, and stakeholder meetings while contributing to the project lifecycle from preparation to close-out, in a dynamic international environment.

Qualifications

• Ideally you are studying a BEng or MEng Mechanical Engineering at undergraduate level.
• Degree in a similar Engineering, Maths or Science discipline considered if energy industry interest.

Are you interested in an engineering placement with one of the UK’s largest energy producers? Our Outage Planning and Delivery Team has an exciting industrial placement opportunity and is looking for a motivated team member with excellent interpersonal skills!

RWE Generation Gas Group Project Planning and Commercial Management group supports our portfolio of gas fired power stations across Europe. Our Outage Support Engineer placement will allow you to work within this dynamic international team.The placement will be based at one of our generating assets and will support the Project Manager with delivery of a programme of high value Outage Projects. You would be involved in all stages of the project lifecycle including planning, preparation, delivery, and close-out.

About the role

• Undertake project preparation planning.
• Coordinate specified activities.
• Coordinate resources mobilising to site.
• Establish Health, Safety, Environment, and Wellbeing documentation.
• Be a contributor in Project meetings.

During the project there is opportunity to work alongside the operations, maintenance and engineering teams, contractors and service providers. This may require visiting regional offices and working some extended hours to meet the demands of the project.

Job requirements and experience

• Ideally, you should be studying a BEng or MEng Mechanical Engineering degree at an undergraduate level.
