Job summary

RWE Generation UK is offering an industrial placement in Outage Planning and Delivery to support high‑value outage projects across its gas-fired portfolio. You will assist the Project Manager through planning, preparation, delivery and close‑out while working with operations, maintenance and engineering teams at generating assets.

Start date on 28th June 2027, full time, fixed term (13 months) Are you interested in an engineering placement with one of the UK’s largest energy producers? Our Outage Planning and Delivery Team has an exciting industrial placement opportunity and is looking for a motivated team member with excellent interpersonal skills! RWE Generation Gas Group Project Planning and Commercial Management group supports our portfolio of gas fired power stations across Europe. Our Outage Support Engineer placement will allow you to work within this dynamic international team. The placement will be based at one of our generating assets and will support the Project Manager with delivery of a programme of high value Outage Projects. You would be involved in all stages of the project lifecycle including planning, preparation, delivery, and close-out.

About The Role

During the project there is opportunity to work alongside the operations, maintenance and engineering teams, contractors and service providers. This may require visiting regional offices and working some extended hours to meet the demands of the project.

Job Requirements And Experience

• Ideally, you should be studying a BEng or MEng Mechanical Engineering degree at an undergraduate level.
