Job summary

Ganymede Solutions is seeking an Outage Manager in Surrey to own outage planning across a major infrastructure programme. You will manage approximately 100 planned outages, coordinating across construction, MEICA and operational teams to minimise live-ops disruption.

From initial strategy and planning through to live delivery, you will develop detailed schedules, coordinate labour, engineers, technicians, contractors, plant and equipment, manage electrical isolations and secure permits and

Qualifications

• Experience planning and managing complex outages, shutdowns or isolations in water, wastewater, utilities or comparable operational infrastructure.
• Electrical background and relevant electrical qualification are essential.
• Strong understanding of electrical isolation principles.
• MEICA installation and commissioning experience would be highly relevant.
• Sewage treatment works process experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own outage planning across a major infrastructure programme from strategy through live delivery.

• Provide on-site coordination during live outages, monitoring progress, responding to changes and ensuring safety, quality, programme and operational requirements remain on track.

Looking for a contract where you can take ownership of outage planning across a major infrastructure programme?

This opportunity will give you responsibility for coordinating approximately 100 planned outages across a major programme, working across construction, MEICA and operational teams to ensure critical works can be completed while minimising disruption to live operations.

As Outage Manager, you'll take outages from initial strategy and planning through to live delivery. You'll develop detailed schedules, coordinate labour, engineers, technicians, contractors, plant and equipment, manage electrical isolations and ensure the necessary permits, documentation and controls are in place before work begins.

During live outages, you'll provide the on-site coordination between project and operational teams, monitoring progress, responding to changes and ensuring safety, quality, programme and operational requirements remain on track.

Your background will need to include experience planning and managing complex outages, shutdowns or operational isolations within water, wastewater, utilities, process engineering or a comparable operational infrastructure environment. An electrical background and relevant electrical qualification are essential, alongside a strong understanding of electrical isolation principles.

Experience of MEICA installation and commissioning would be highly relevant, while previous sewage treatment works process experience would be particularly advantageous.

This is an initial 12 month contract with the opportunity for extension, offering the chance to take ownership of a critical function across a substantial pipeline of infrastructure projects.
