Overview

We are currently seeking applications for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and qualified individual to fill the following post within our Childcare Team:

Out of School Childcare & Education Practitioner

16 hours/week – Monday to Thursday

Salary up to £11,254.35 per annum based on 16 hours per week depending on qualification

Practical experience of working with primary school aged children is required. The post involves working as part of a team in planning, delivering and evaluating a high quality out of school care service.

Responsibilities
  • Promote the learning, development and overall wellbeing of children by identifying and meeting their care, support and learning needs.
  • Oversee the work of others and contribute to the efficient and effective delivery of a variety of settings within the provision.
  • Create and maintain a safe and stimulating environment with opportunities for the holistic development of children.
  • Take responsibility for groups of children as required, including during outings.
  • Work as part of a team to plan, deliver and evaluate activities and experiences for children.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Experience of working with primary school aged children.
  • Currently working towards, or willing to work towards, a relevant qualification.
  • Eligible to register at practitioner level with the Scottish Social Services Council.
  • Eligible to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme.
  • Eligible to work in the UK and have the relevant documents to prove this.
