Job summary

Inspiring Vet Care in Glasgow is seeking a weekend veterinary nurse to join our out of hours team. You will provide high-standard inpatient care for referral patients and emergencies within a multi-discipline, supportive setting.

Role works on a 5 nights on, 5 nights off rota with shifts from 16:00 to 04:00 or 20:00 to 08:00. We support CPD, mentoring, and professional development for our nurses in a busy referral hospital.

• Provide high-standard inpatient care for referral patients as well as incoming emergencies and critical care patients.
• Support the busy out of hours service on a 5 nights on, 5 nights off rota with shifts 16:00–04:00 or 20:00–08:00.

Job description

Our Glasgow hospital offers emergency and critical care, orthopaedic, soft tissue, internal medicine and referrals, and we’re looking to add to our existing team with a weekend veterinary nurse. You will be part of our out of hours team and will be required to provide high-standard inpatient care for referral patients as well as incoming emergencies and critical care patients. This is an opportunity to work with Specialist and AP vets in a multi-discipline and supportive environment.

Working pattern

This role will be supporting our busy out of hours service:

Working on 5 nights on, 5 nights off rota, shift times 16:00 to 04:00 or 20:00 to 08:00
