Job summary

KennedyPearce Consulting is recruiting on behalf of a prestigious West End-based Asset Manager for a Trade Support/Investment Operations Analyst in London. Hybrid working and a permanent role offer stability and growth opportunities.

Essential experience includes 2–3 years in investment operations at an Asset Manager or Hedge Fund, with exposure to equities, ETFs, FX forwards, futures and sovereign bonds. Strong detail orientation and a calm, numerate approach are required.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years investment operations experience at an Asset Manager or Hedge Fund.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Mathematics.
• Experience in Equity, Unit Trusts, ETF's, FX Forwards, Futures, Sovereign Bonds.
• Trade support experience including matching, settlements, custody positioning, cash reconciliations, corporate actions, collateral management and proxy voting.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Numerate and methodical.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Full UK working rights.

Responsibilities

• Full trade support ownership for allocated Funds.
• Own trade lifecycles and resolve issues with trade settlement, matching, and corporate actions.
• Reconciliation of custodian cash and positions.
• Responsible for approving NAVs.
• FX management and payments.
• Address ad-hoc enquiries from Front Office/Custodians/Administrators.
• Contributing improvements to the control environment.
• Adhoc projects as requested by Operations Manager and Head of Operations.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• It is an essential requirement that you have 2-3 years previous investment operations experience at an Asset Manager or Hedge Fund working in Trade Support
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics
• Experience in Equity, Unit Trusts, ETF's, FX Forwards, Futures, Sovereign Bonds.
• General Operations Trade support experience including Trade Matching, Settlements, Custody Positioning and Cash reconciliations, corporate actions, collateral management and Proxy Voting
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Numerate, methodical
• Good decision-making/problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Full UK working rights

PREFERED/NICE TO HAVE EXPERIENCE

• Experience in OTC Derivatives (Futures, IRS, Swaptions, Bond Options, FX Options)
• Knowledge of Broadridge portfolio management system
• Custody market openings, tax reclaims, EMIR Reporting, NAV reconciliations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
