Job summary

Selby Jennings is seeking an Operations Analyst in London with a hybrid work model to join our growing Operations team. The role offers broad exposure across multiple asset classes and the full trade lifecycle, with collaboration between front-office and senior operational stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has 1-5 years' experience in investment operations within asset management or hedge funds and a degree in Finance, Economics, or related disciplines.

Qualifications

• Degree educated in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics or a related discipline.
• Must come from an Asset Management business or Hedge Fund.
• 1-5 years' experience within investment operations at an asset manager, hedge fund, investment firm, or financial services organisation.
• Exposure to asset classes such as Equities, Fixed Income, ETFs, FX, OTC, and Derivatives.
• Experience across trade support functions including: Trade matching and settlements; Cash and position reconciliations; Corporate actions; Custody oversight; Collateral management.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support across the full trade lifecycle for investment portfolios.
• Monitor and resolve trade matching and settlement issues.
• Perform cash, position and NAV reconciliations.
• Manage collateral and cash movements.
• Liaise with trading, compliance, custodians and third-party service providers.
• Support process improvement initiatives and operational projects.
