Job summary

prosource.it is seeking an experienced OT Security Platform Engineer to join our Glasgow-based technology team. You will help deliver secure OT/IT boundary solutions and support DCS OT security platforms across critical infrastructure.

You will contribute to OT DMZ resilience, platform hardening, and incident resolution while collaborating with architecture, security and delivery teams. The role offers hybrid work in the UK and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to document technical procedures and produce runbooks.

What you’ll do

• Support implementation and maintenance of DCS OT Security platforms and IT/OT boundary services
• Support OT DMZ infrastructure, resilience and recovery initiatives
• Configure, administer and maintain security and infrastructure platforms
• Support backup, archive and disaster recovery solutions
• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging and alerting capabilities
• Support platform hardening, vulnerability remediation and security improvements
• Support firewall, connectivity and network configuration activities
• Administer privileged access and remote-access technologies, including BeyondTrust
• Support platform migrations, upgrades and modernisation activities
• Produce and maintain engineering documentation, operational procedures and technical runbooks
• Perform platform testing, validation and operational readiness activities
• Investigate and resolve platform incidents, technical escalations and operational issues
• Support change implementation, configuration management and service transition activities
• Assist with evidence generation, configuration validation and technical assurance activities
• Collaborate with architecture, security, operational technology and delivery teams on implementation activities

What to bring

• Experience supporting Operational Technology (OT) Industrial Control Systems or critical infrastructure environments
• Experience with virtualisation platforms including Hyper-V
• Experience supporting backup, disaster recovery and resilience solutions
• Knowledge of network infrastructure, firewalls and secure connectivity principles
• Experience with security platforms, monitoring and logging technologies
• Experience administering privileged access management or secure remote-access solutions.
• Experience producing technical documentation and operational runbooks
• Experience troubleshooting infrastructure and platform-related issues
• Strong understanding of operational change, testing and implementation processes
• Experience with BeyondTrust
• Experience with Veeam backup and recovery platforms
• Experience with Microsoft Azure
• Experience with OT DMZ architectures
• Experience working within utilities, energy or regulated industries
• Familiarity with the NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF)
• Knowledge of NIS Regulations
• Knowledge of ISA/IEC 62443
• Experience supporting security monitoring and alerting platforms
• Experience working within multi-supplier service environments
• Expereince working within utility/energy or regulated sectors
