Job summary

SSE’s IT division seeks an OT Infrastructure Engineer to operate, support and improve the infrastructure underpinning Operational Technology across SSEN Transmission. You will help keep services stable, secure and recoverable, supporting live infrastructure and delivering controlled changes across environments that support the electricity transmission network.

You do not need OT prior experience; we welcome those who have supported reliable infrastructure in high-availability environments and

Qualifications

• Experience supporting infrastructure in live environments with high availability.
• Experience monitoring platform health and investigating incidents.
• Experience delivering changes, upgrades and deployments in controlled environments.
• Familiar with AD, DNS, GPO, virtualization, backup and patching.
• Collaborative working style with a practical approach to learning and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Support OT Infrastructure Manager with operation, support and continuous improvement.
• Maintain health, performance and resilience of infrastructure platforms with controlled issue resolution.
• Support services from central servers to substation systems and third-party hosted platforms.
• Collaborate with teams, suppliers and stakeholders to deliver stable, secure infrastructure changes.
• Maintain backup, recovery, patching and vulnerability management processes.
