Job summary

SSE plc seeks an OT Infrastructure Engineer to operate, support and improve infrastructure underpinning Operational Technology across SSEN Transmission. The role is based at Inverness (with other locations possible) on a permanent, full-time basis with Flexible First options and SC vetting required.

The salary range is £57,150 to £68,295, with a range of benefits to support finances and wellbeing. You will help maintain secure, reliable infrastructure across central servers and substation

Qualifications

• Experience in a live environment with reliable infrastructure.
• Experience monitoring platform health and incidents.
• Experience delivering infrastructure changes in controlled environments.
• Proficiency in AD, DNS, GP, virtualization and security platforms.

Responsibilities

• Support the OT Infrastructure Manager with operation, support and continuous improvement of infrastructure services.
• Help maintain the health, performance and resilience of infrastructure platforms.
• Support a range of infrastructure services from central servers to substation systems and hosted platforms.
• Collaborate with operational teams, suppliers and stakeholders to deliver stable, secure infrastructure changes.
• Maintain backup, recovery, patching and vulnerability management processes.
