Job summary

Capgemini Engineering seeks an OT Engineer to provide hands-on expertise across utilities, water, wastewater and other critical infrastructure. You will assess and support modernisation of PLC, RTU, SCADA, telemetry and control systems, conduct site surveys and design activities, and help clients understand their OT landscape and opportunities for standardisation.

You will collaborate with operators, engineers and stakeholders to deliver practical recommendations and contribute to convergence

Qualifications

• Strong practical experience of industrial automation and OT systems.
• Experience in site surveys and engineering assessments across distributed environments.
• Understanding brownfield modernisation, lifecycle management and multi-vendor integration.
• Knowledge of industrial networking and protocols; good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct OT site surveys and assessments of control systems, field assets, communications, data flows.
• Evaluate PLC/RTU/SCADA and telemetry estates for risks, resilience and standardisation opportunities.
• Support modernisation programmes with target-state architectures, solution design and roadmaps.
• Collaborate with operators, engineers and stakeholders to provide clear technical recommendations on IT/OT convergence.
