Job summary
Axon Moore seeks an experienced Operational Technology Engineer to join its IT function across West Yorkshire manufacturing sites. You will lead OT projects from concept through to implementation, delivering automation, control systems, SCADA, PLCs, and industrial networks with emphasis on cyber security and compliance.
Reporting to the Head of IT, you will manage procurement, contractors, budgets and timelines, provide technical leadership across OT infrastructure, and collaborate with IT,
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent in control/electrical engineering.
- Proven experience delivering OT/automation projects.
- Advanced knowledge of PLC, HMI and SCADA systems.
- Experience with Profinet, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, Modbus RTU/TCP and OPC UA.
- Strong OT cyber security and system resilience understanding.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Developing project concepts, specifications and technical solutions.
- Designing and implementing automation, control and OT infrastructure.
- Managing procurement, contractors, installation and commissioning activities.
- Managing project budgets, timelines and resources.
- Providing technical leadership and governance across OT and process control systems.
- Working with IT, engineering, production, maintenance and other stakeholders.
- Supporting operational reliability, business continuity and asset performance.
- Ensuring OT systems meet cyber security and compliance requirements.
