Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking an Automation & Cyber Security Manager to secure and optimise our industrial automated control systems in a regulated manufacturing environment. The role blends OT, cyber security and process automation to ensure compliant, reliable operations and support data-driven improvements across IT/OT interfaces.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT/OT cyber security within regulated manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of GxP, GMP, GAMP5 and IEC 61508/61511 standards.
• Ability to perform risk assessments and maintain security documentation.
• Experience with lifecycle management of OT systems including validation and change control.
• Strong collaboration across matrix organisations and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Ensure OT cybersecurity compliance with regulations and standards, maintain cyber security management system and training.
• Conduct security risk assessments, update asset registers, and implement countermeasures.
• Manage OT systems lifecycle, including validation, change control and documentation.
• Plan and execute automation and IT-related projects aligned to production needs.
• Lead validation and continuous improvement initiatives for OT systems.
• Ensure system reliability, obsolescence management, and safety standards application.
• Develop IT/IACS integration procedures for GxP and non-GxP environments.
• Support OT architecture, governance, and alignment with global/local stakeholders.
• Drive change management within engineering teams for cyber security and automation initiatives.
• Support data aggregation and reporting processes.
