An opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner to join the Assistive Technology Service at the SMART Centre, Astley Ainslie Hospital, Edinburgh. The SMART Centre provides highly specialised clinical rehabilitation technology services across the southeast of Scotland.

You will be allocated a delegated patient caseload by the qualified AHP and be expected to work independently within the Disabled Living Centre (DLC) assessing the patient’s needs in relation to

• Allocated delegated patient caseload by qualified AHP and work independently within the Disabled Living Centre (DLC) assessing equipment needs for daily living.
• Provide advice and information in person or by telephone related to equipment and services; support the AHP staff.
• Contribute to developing the DLC service and participate in transformational changes within the Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership.
