Belfast City Council is looking for an OSS Sweeper Driver/Labourer to join our nightshift team.
This is more than just a driving job. You'll be out on the streets of Belfast helping to maintain roadsides, footpaths, parks, alleyways, entries and other public spaces - ensuring they are clean, safe and welcoming for everyone.

Belfast City Council may shortlist applicants with two or more years' relevant experience in these areas.
You'll also need strong communication and customer-care skills, a good understanding of health and safety, the ability to organise your workload and a genuine commitment to teamwork and equality of opportunity.
While much of Belfast is sleeping, you'll be helping look after the city.
Your work will have a direct and visible impact on the places people live, work and visit. Whether you're operating a mechanical sweeper, clearing an entry, servicing a litter bin or helping a colleague with a difficult job, you're playing an important part in keeping Belfast clean, safe and welcoming.
If you're a skilled driver who doesn't mind rolling up your sleeves, enjoys working outdoors and wants a role where you can see the difference your work makes, we’d like to hear from you.
All eligible applicants must successfully complete a driving assessment, where required, demonstrating their ability to safely operate large vehicles associated with a Category C1 licence.
Only applicants who successfully pass the driving assessment, where required, will proceed to interview.
