Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is seeking an OSS Data Architect to act as senior technical authority for end-to-end data extraction, connectivity and ingestion architecture, defining strategy and standardized patterns for integrating OSS with the Cloud Platform (GCP preferred).

You will lead architectural design, governance, security, and stakeholder engagement, promoting reusable patterns and DataOps across large teams while ensuring compliance and performance.

Qualifications

• 12-15+ years in data architecture with 8-10+ years in data integration, ETL/ELT and data warehousing in large enterprises.
• Proven data integration design experience for OSS domains (Inventory, Performance, Fault, Provisioning, Ticketing).
• Expert-level knowledge of data ingestion patterns: batch, API, JDBC, and real-time streaming (CDC, Kafka).
• Deep understanding of hybrid cloud connectivity and security (VPNs, interconnects, firewalls, API security).
• Ability to create and govern reusable architectural patterns and standards for large teams.

Job description

Capgemini Engineering is looking for OSS Data Architect who will be the senior technical authority responsible for designing the end-to-end data extraction, connectivity, and ingestion architecture. You will define the technical strategy and standardized patterns for integrating dozens of complex, on-premise Operations Support Systems (OSS) with the Cloud Platform preferably GCP.

Your profile

Required Skills & Experience:

• Overall 12-15+ years’ experience with 8-10+ years of experience in data architecture, with a significant focus on data integration, ETL/ELT, and data warehousing in large enterprise environments.
• Proven experience designing and implementing data integration solutions for a wide range of telecommunications OSS domains (e.g., Inventory, Performance, Fault, Provisioning, Ticketing etc).
• Expert-level knowledge of multiple data ingestion patterns, including batch file processing, API integration (REST/SOAP), RDBMS querying (JDBC), and real-time data streaming (CDC, Kafka, etc.).
• Deep understanding of hybrid cloud connectivity and security principles, including VPNs, dedicated interconnects, firewalls, and API security.
• Demonstrated ability to create and govern reusable architectural patterns and technical standards for large-scale development teams.

Highly Desirable

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, particularly BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Interconnect, and Apigee.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) and CI/CD principles in a data context (DataOps).
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior technical stakeholders and mentor other engineers.
