Job summary

The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is seeking an Orthotics Support Practitioner to assist orthotists in providing a service to clients requiring orthotic treatment. You will work with supervision from the Senior Orthotists team and the Consultant Orthotist.

The post holder will undertake the activities listed in the job description, manage a portion of their own workload within a broad framework, and uphold NHS standards of safety, quality and patient care.

Qualifications

• English GCSE (Grades 4-9) or equivalent.
• Understand of the role of orthotics with a range of appropriate clients.
• Three A-Levels or NVQ3 or equivalent level 3 qualification(s).
• Ability to work flexibility across areas according to service need.

Responsibilities

• To work with supervision and support from the Senior Orthotists team and the Consultant Orthotist/Orthotics Service Manager, providing a supportive role to the orthotist team.
• To assist orthotists in providing a service to clients requiring orthotic treatment.
