We have an exciting opportunity for a Footwear and Coverings Technician to join our existing team at The RNOH Stanmore

The Role

We are looking for a skilled technician to work within our Orthotics workshop, specializing in footwear, insoles, leather work, covering and corset making/ adaptions. To provide a high-quality service in line with Steeper's / RNOH Trust standards and be able to communicate sensitively and effectively with a wide range of people including medical and clinical staff, patients, colleagues and other outside agencies.

Responsibilities
  • The post holder will work as part of the technical manufacturing team manufacturing insoles, repair and adaption of footwear, leatherwork and sewing skills required.
  • Work to specification and work to orders raised by orthotists on site
  • Deal with any enquiries from Steeper staff, customers, suppliers or the public quickly and efficiently.
  • Understand the range of products within the orthotic market, including materials used to manufacture.
  • Highlight any problems to the manager promptly so that they can be resolved quickly.
  • Abide by the company's health and safety policy while in the workshop, stores and office.
  • Support stores and admin team in admin tasks when required

  • Such other duties at a comparable level of responsibility may be allocated to the post or post-holder.
  • Support the team with other projects and responsibilities as required.
