Job summary

The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 or Band 6 Registered Nurse to join Rockingham Elective Orthopaedic Ward on a part-time basis (23 hours per week). The ward handles up to eight trauma patients, with a need for a calm, capable nurse who can prioritise workload and support ward leadership.

You will bring post-registration surgical experience, strong communication, and a commitment to developing your own and colleagues’ clinical practice within a supportive NHS environment.

Qualifications

• NMC registration is essential and must be current.
• Post-registration training in acute care is required.
• Ongoing CPD or equivalent training is desirable.
• A degree level qualification in nursing is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the Ward Manager to ensure high-quality care is delivered.
• Provide person-centred care promoting independence and wellbeing.
• Maintain high clinical standards during nursing procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement and safe discharge planning.
