Job summary

University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust in Stafford is seeking an experienced Senior Operating Department Practitioner / Senior Theatre Practitioner to undertake scrub roles in our Orthopaedic Theatres. The role is full-time (part-time considered) and requires leadership to deliver high standards of perioperative care across a fast-paced environment.

You will lead theatre teams, demonstrate strong scrub skills in Orthopaedics, and work Monday to Saturday with long day shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience at band 5 in theatre.
• Demonstrate leadership skills and qualities, able to lead a team in theatre and the department.
• Excellent scrub and leadership skills in Orthopaedic Theatres, flexible to work across Monday to Saturday with long day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Senior scrub staff to take responsibility for the smooth running of the operating list and support the team in theatre.
• Lead a team in theatre and at times the department, delivering high standards of perioperative care.
• Support and develop personal skills and facilitate the team to provide excellent patient care.
