Job summary

Spire Healthcare Limited's Montefiore Hospital in Hove is seeking a Bank Perioperative Practitioner - Scrub, Orthopaedics to join our flexible theatre team. In this hands-on role you’ll provide orthopaedic scrub support, assist in consultant-led surgeries and help maintain patient safety across the perioperative pathway.

Bank shifts (Mon–Fri, 07:30–18:00) offer variety and development in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC).
• Significant experience in a perioperative theatre environment.
• Strong orthopaedic scrub experience and confidence supporting various surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Consultant-led surgeries with varying complexity.
• Carry out Scrub duties in a theatre setting and support patient care.
• Assess patient health and wellbeing across a complex caseload.
• Develop care plans considering perioperative risks and pathway.
• Promote best practice and contribute to quality improvements.
