Job summary

One Health Group’s Elective Surgery Hub in Scunthorpe is recruiting Registered Nurses for a 40-hour week on a twelve-bed ward. You will care for patients after hip/knee replacement, revision arthroplasty and spinal surgery, with a focus on observations, medicines and discharge planning.

We require current NMC registration and at least two years’ post-registration acute surgical experience. Travel to the hub is required for all shifts.

Qualifications

• Must hold current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.
• At least 2 years' post-registration experience in an acute surgical environment.
• Experience caring for post-operative patients and major orthopaedic/spinal procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective nursing care after major orthopaedic and spinal surgery.
• Complete comprehensive patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Monitor clinical condition and post-operative observations; escalate deteriorations.
• Administer medicines safely and maintain documentation.
• Support discharge planning and patient education.
• Promote infection prevention and patient safety; participate in audits.
