Job summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Plaster Technician to join our Orthopaedic team. You will apply casts for trauma and elective patients, and train with wound care on post-operative or traumatic wounds.

Based across Southampton General Hospital and the Royal South Hants Hospital, you will work on wards, in A&E and theatres as needed, collaborating with consultants, nursing staff and Allied Professionals.

Qualifications

• BOA registration and British Casting Certificate are essential.
• Experience with applying casts on adults and children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply casts to trauma patients and those following the elective pathway.
• Carry out wound care for post-operative or traumatic wounds.
• Work across Orthopaedic wards, A&E and theatres as needed.
• Collaborate with Consultants, Nursing staff and Allied Professionals.
