Job summary

Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is hiring an Orthopaedic Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Crewe. The post offers NHS AfC Band 8a, full-time permanent hours, and a pro rata salary between £57,528 and £64,750 per year.

The ACP will work within the Orthopaedic team across trauma, electives, ward-based duties and on-call activities. Applicants should have a master’s level ACP qualification, advanced clinical practice competencies, and a track record in leadership, education and audit.

Qualifications

• MSc Advanced Practice and relevant competencies completed.
• V300 prescribing qualification or equivalent.
• Leadership/management evidence or qualification.
• Teaching qualification or module completed; ALS and IRMER trained.

Responsibilities

• Work as an autonomous ACP with clinical decision-making autonomy.
• Lead, supervise and support Trainee ACPs and other staff.
• Contribute to education, research and audit across four pillars of practice.
• Develop and implement clinical pathways and service improvements.
