Job summary

Henry Schein Dental Recruitment seeks a Specialist Orthodontist for a brand-new Birmingham practice opening November 2026. You will provide high-quality NHS and private orthodontic assessments, planning and treatment in a fully digital setting.

Work with experienced colleagues including orthodontic therapists and nurses to shape the clinical service and establish a positive, high-performing culture while contributing to the growth of the private and NHS orthodontic offering.

Qualifications

• Must hold full GDC registration and be on the Specialist List in Orthodontics or hold recognised consultant status.
• Demonstrated commitment to clinical quality, teamwork and professional development.
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking orthodontic consultations, assessments and treatment planning.
• Providing NHS and private orthodontic treatment to a high clinical standard.
• Prescribing and supervising treatment delegated to orthodontic therapists.
• Maintaining accurate and contemporaneous clinical records.
• Supporting clinical governance, audits and quality-improvement activities.
• Collaborating with referring dentists and other healthcare professionals.
• Supporting development and growth of the private orthodontic service.
• Providing clinical leadership, mentoring and guidance where appropriate.

SPECIALIST ORTHODONTIST REQUIRED IN BIRMINGHAM

Seeking a Specialist Orthodontist to join our brand-new, state-of-the-art orthodontic practice in Alum Rock, Birmingham

The practice is due to open approximately November 2026

The practice will have 5 surgeries, built up patient list

The role is to work Full-time or part-time hours, (permeant) with flexibility around working days

Working pattern: Flexible and negotiable

Remuneration: Highly competitive and dependent on experience and the agreed working arrangement

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing a new, fully digital NHS and private orthodontic service.

You will be supported by an experienced management team, qualified dental nurses, orthodontic therapists.

Established in 2022, we are a growing multi-practice group providing general dental and orthodontic services. We are committed to clinical excellence, patient-centred care and creating a supportive working environment where team members can develop and progress.

About the role

The successful candidate will provide high-quality orthodontic assessment, treatment planning and treatment for NHS and private patients.

You will work collaboratively with orthodontic therapists, dental nurses, referring clinicians and the wider management team to deliver an efficient, patient-centred orthodontic service.

As this is a brand-new practice, you will have the opportunity to help shape the clinical service, support team development and establish a positive, high-performing culture from the outset.

Essential requirements
