Job summary

Solent University is seeking a Senior Business Partner to coordinate end-to-end Organisational Development (OD) programmes across all Schools and Professional Services, aligned with business needs while delivering high-quality customer service.

The role supports People and Development with implementing key initiatives, focusing on change, engagement, and inclusive, values-led ways of working. CIPD Level 5 and a degree or relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

  • CIPD to level 5 with a degree or relevant experience.
  • Experience delivering organisational development programmes.
  • Knowledge of current UK employment law and practices.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple programmes and manage timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate end-to-end delivery of development programmes, managing timelines and deadlines.
  • Horizon scan for future OD requirements and communicate to the P&D team.
  • Support action plans from staff surveys to drive culture change and People and Culture strategy.
  • Provide advice and guidance to colleagues and managers in line with policy services including OD, equality and wellbeing.
  • Support production of reports and engagement/training compliance information.
  • Assist with creating and implementing people experience strategies and change initiatives.

Job description

We have an exciting new job that has been created which reports into our newly created Senior Business Partner, Equality, Engagement and wellbeing. As part of your role you will be responsible for coordinating the end-to-end delivery of selected organisational development programmes across all schools and Professional Services, which are aligned with business needs and priorities while delivering high-quality customer service.


This is a key role which supports the Business Partnering and wider P&D teams in implementing key people initiatives, with a particular focus on coordinating Organisational Development activities that support the People and Development strategy and enhance the people experience. The role plays a key part in coordinating programmes that enable change, enhance engagement, and embed inclusive, values-led ways of working

Key responsibilities include: -

  • Coordinating the end to end delivery of development programmes, managing timelines, dependencies and deadlines.
  • Horizon scanning for future OD requirements and communicating these to the P&D team.
  • Supporting the successful achievement of action plans as outcomes of the staff survey to create culture change and the successful delivery of the People and Culture strategy.
  • Provide advice and guidance to colleagues and managers in line with University policy services including organisational development, equality and diversity, wellbeing and other operational services.
  • Support the production of relevant reports and information such as the collation of engagement survey and online training compliance reports.
  • Assist with the creation, successful implementation and communication of effective people experience strategies, organisational change initiatives and operations that enhance our people, place and culture.

You will be CIPD to level 5 with a degree or relevant experience in a similar role. Project delivery against tight deadlines, working at pace whilst maintaining accuracy as well as a good overall knowledge of current UK employment law and employment practices are key.

Strong interpersonal skills with a variety of stakeholders, intermediate Excel skills and an ability to review and interpret data are also key skills for the job.
