SmartSourcing Ltd is seeking an experienced Transformation Manager to drive organisational change and continuous improvement for a government delivery programme. The role covers senior leadership across complex programmes, ensuring delivery targets for time, cost, quality and performance are met, in a security-cleared environment.

The candidate will lead a team of project professionals, leveraging PRINCE2, MSP and Agile methodologies to deliver large-scale outcomes in the UK and abroad.

Project Management - Transformation Manager - 6mths - SC/DV - 925pday

Our government client is looking for an experienced Project Management Organisational Transformation Manager, Continuous Improvement, for a 6 month contract. They are offering 925 per day (umbrella)
Our client is based near Milton Keynes - commutable from Northampton, East Midlands, Bedford, Luton or Central London. They are offering hybrid working, with 3 days per week onsite.
This role is working in a Security Cleared environment. You will need to be SC or DV (developed vetting) cleared or eligible to undertake SC or DV Security Clearance.
The successful candidate will have vast experience of Project Management and leadership within construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects.
As the Project Management Transformation Manager, you will be responsible for leading the improvement of delivery of complex programmes and projects. You will provide strategic leadership and coaching to a team of project management professionals. You will be an experienced Senior Project Management professional and Change Specialist to enhance the delivery of large-scale, complex programmes, ensuring they meet agreed objectives for time, cost, quality, and performance. As a recognised subject matter expert in project management methodologies, tools, and governance, you will bring extensive experience of leading major projects and programmes within complex environments.

Essential experience

• Significant experience in managing change and delivering continuous improvement in a global, complex project delivery environment
• Demonstrable experience of leading large-scale project and programme delivery in the UK and overseas with an understanding of the requirements and interactions of different skill sets in a complex organisation
• Exceptional commercial acumen and financial management skills with a pragmatic approach and drive for outstanding customer service
• Strong understanding of governance, assurance, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Expertise in applying recognised project management methodologies (eg PRINCE2,MSP,Agile)
• Relevant professional accreditation (eg PMP, APM Chartered Project Professional, MSP Practitioner).

Desirable

• Experience working with or within a Strategic PMO function.
• Background in organisational transformation or continuous improvement leadership.
