Job summary

Birtwistles is seeking an Order Picker for night shift in Salford to support production and distribution operations. You will pick and collate customer orders from sheets, record details, and ensure accurate packing and labeling while maintaining traceability.

The role requires accuracy, teamwork and the ability to work nights on a permanent basis; full training will be provided with immediate starts available in a factory setting.

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications are required for this role and full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Pick and collate orders for customers from customer order sheets.
• Accurately record information onto the customer order sheets.
• Pick orders efficiently and within required targets.
• Pack meat using vacuum packing machine.
• Recording weights and volume outputs.
• Apply date labels and traceability labels to product.
• Follow Company Policies, Procedures and Standards in the Company Quality System.
• Follow Factory Personal Hygiene and Food Safety Regulations.
• Help management identify solutions to problems identified.
• Report quality issues to management.

The main responsibilities of the role working on Nightshift are;

• Pick and collate orders for customers from customer order sheets
• Accurately record information onto the customer order sheets
• Pick orders efficiently & within required targets
• Pack meat using vacuum packing machine
• Recording weights and volume outputs
• Application of date labels and traceability labels to product
• Follow Company Policies, Procedures and Standards in the Company Quality System
• Follow Factory Personal Hygiene and Food Safety Regulations
• Help the relevant management in identifying solutions to any problems identified
• Report and help the relevant management concerning quality issues
