Job summary

Staffline is recruiting for a Picker at our client's busy distribution centre in Stockton-on-Tees. The role is full-time, 40 hours a week, with shifts across early mornings and weekends. You will pick items for orders in a busy, chilled environment (2°C to 8°C) using manual handling equipment and aiming to meet daily targets.

The ideal candidate is physically fit with good communication and maths skills. Full training is provided and overtime opportunities may be available.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work 40 hours per week, including weekends.
• Physically fit for heavy lifting in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible with shifts starting at 6am, 8am, 10am, 12pm, or 2pm.
• Full training provided; previous warehouse experience not required.

Responsibilities

• Pick items to fulfil orders in a busy distribution centre.
• Work toward daily targets in a high-volume setting.
• Operate manual handling equipment safely for order picking.

This is a full-time role working 40 hours a week, any 5 days a week, including weekends.

You will need to be flexible as shifts

start 6am, 8am, 10am, 12pm, or 2pm and it depends on volume and there is no fixed shift.

As this is a full-time role we are not accepting anyone who is not able to work 40 hours a week.

Your Time at Work

As a Picker, your duties will include:

• Picking items
• Working toward targets
• Working in a busy environment picking various products
• Working in a chilled environment with temperatures ranging from 2C - 8C
• Operating manual handling equipment in order to pick items for orders

Please note this is a physically demanding job that involves heavy lifting, applicants must be of good health and be physically fit to work in a fast-paced environment.

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect worker will have good communication and maths skills. You must be physically fit due to working on a busy site for 8 hours a shift.

Experience in working on the JDA system is desired but not essential as full training is provided.
