Job summary

Ekiva is seeking an experienced Orchestration Architect to define and lead the architecture of next-generation telecom automation platforms in a full-time, on-site role in Egham. The candidate will shape architecture for 5G Core, RAN, Open RAN, edge computing and intelligent network operations, translating complex telecom requirements into scalable platform solutions.

The role demands deep telecom architecture and cloud-native expertise, with experience in ETSI MANO, ONAP or equivalent

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in Telecom Architecture, Network Engineering or Solution Architecture.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end architecture for telecom orchestration and automation platforms.
• Define interfaces between network controllers, core network functions, AI/ML engines and operational platforms.

Job description

Ekiva is looking for an experienced Orchestration Architect to define and lead the architecture of next-generation telecom automation platforms supporting 5G Core, RAN, Open RAN, Edge Computing, Private Networks and intelligent network operations.

The successful candidate will have strong expertise in telecom architecture, network automation, software-defined networking and cloud-native technologies, with the ability to translate complex telecom requirements into scalable platform solutions.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

• Define end-to-end architecture for telecom orchestration and automation platforms.
• 4G/5G Core Networks
• LTE/5G RAN
• IP Transport Networks
• Edge Computing platforms
• Enterprise applications
• Configuration management
• Fault management
• Performance optimisation

Define interfaces between:

• Network controllers
• Core network functions
• AI/ML engines
• Operational platforms
• Support intent-based networking and autonomous network capabilities.
• Service assurance

Support technical discussions with:

• Telecom operators
• Engineering teams
• Review technical designs and ensure scalability, security and performance.

Support:

• Technical proposals
• Proof of Concept demonstrations
• Solution presentations
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

What We're Looking For:

• 10+ years experience in Telecom Architecture, Network Engineering or Solution Architecture.

Strong knowledge of:

• 5G SA architecture
• Private 5G networks
• Edge Computing
• SDN/NFV concepts

Experience with:

• Telecom orchestration platforms
• ETSI MANO concepts
• ONAP or equivalent platforms
• Network controllers
• REST APIs
• Cloud-native architectures

Understanding of:

• Near-RT RIC / Non-RT RIC concepts

Experience with multi-vendor telecom environments including:

• Ericsson
• Huawei
• Open RAN platforms
• Equivalent technologies
• Experience supporting telecom solution design and innovation activities.
• Ability to communicate complex architecture concepts to technical and business stakeholders.
