Job summary

Trafford Council is looking for a dedicated Orchestral Percussion Tutor to deliver lessons to children aged 7-18 at our music centre in Sale. This position involves teaching from beginner to Grade 8 level, as well as supporting ensembles during selected evenings.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about inspiring young musicians. The role includes flexible working hours during term time with a commitment to professional development.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of Grade 8 qualifications in Orchestral Percussion.
• Experience teaching pupils from beginner to Grade 8 / Diploma level.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual/small group orchestral percussion and drum kit lessons.
• Support percussionists in ensembles on Tuesdays and Fridays.
• Commit to teaching during term time and provide continuity for pupils.
