Job summary

Coforge in Leeds, UK is seeking an experienced Oracle Tester to join our hybrid team. You will conduct functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing of Oracle-based applications, databases, and integrations, with hands-on SQL/PLSQL and Oracle APEX testing.

You will develop test plans and scripts, validate data through complex queries, and manage defects through to resolution, while collaborating with stakeholders in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Oracle Tester or Database Tester.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle Database (11g/12c, ideally 19c).
• Hands-on SQL and PL/SQL testing and validation.
• Experience testing Oracle APEX applications.
• Knowledge of STLC, defect management, and testing methodologies.
• Experience creating test plans, cases, and execution reports.
• Able to perform data validation with complex SQL queries.
• Excellent communication for stakeholder collaboration.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery.
• Knowledge of test automation tools and API testing (Postman/ReadyAPI).
• Experience with performance and database testing.
• Experience on large-scale transformation programs in Mortgage/Savings or Banking/Financial Services domains.

Responsibilities

Experienced Oracle Tester with strong expertise in testing Oracle-based applications, databases, and integrations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle APEX, BI testing, and end-to-end functional and regression testing within large-scale transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform functional, system integration, regression, and user acceptance testing for Oracle-based applications.
• Develop, execute, and maintain test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.
• Validate Oracle databases, PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, triggers, and data migrations.
• Test Oracle APEX applications to ensure functionality, usability, and performance requirements are met.
• Analyse business and technical requirements to identify test conditions and coverage.
• Execute SQL queries to validate data integrity, data transformation, and database updates.
• Log, track, and manage defects through to resolution, working closely with developers and business stakeholders.
• Support release testing and deployment validation activities.
• Prepare and communicate test progress, status reports, and quality metrics to project stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as an Oracle Tester or Database Tester.
