Job summary

InspireXT in London is seeking students or recent graduates in Mechanical, Industrial, or Supply Chain Engineering to join a PLM-focused role. You’ll work with CAD data, BOM maintenance, and ECO processing within Oracle PLM to support product data across design and manufacturing records.

You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and IT, contributing to PLM/SCM workflows and data-quality initiatives, while gaining exposure to dashboards and process improvements in a dynamic supply

Qualifications

  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in a relevant field.
  • Working knowledge of CAD software.
  • Foundational understanding of PLM concepts (item masters, BOM structures, change management).
  • Exposure to production operations and lean/Six Sigma principles.

Responsibilities

  • Impart CAD system knowledge and integrate it into Oracle PLM for uploading, linking, and validating design files.
  • Maintain and audit Bills of Materials (BOMs) across product records.
  • Assist in processing and tracking Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) from initiation to implementation.
  • Collaborate with production teams to map routings, work centres, and capacity in the supply chain system.
  • Support testing and validating PLM/SCM workflows, including item master setup and data changes.
  • Document current-state processes and identify opportunities for workflow automation or standardization.
  • Assist cross-functional teams in resolving product data discrepancies and contributing to dashboards.

Role Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Impart CAD systemknowledge and utilize it into Oracle PLM assisting with uploading, linking,and validating design files (drawings, models, BOMs) within the PLM system.
  • Help maintainand audit Bills of Materials (BOMs) , ensuring engineering andmanufacturing BOMs stay synchronized across product records.
  • Assist inprocessing and tracking Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) from initiationthrough review, approval routing, and implementation.
  • Collaboratewith production teams to understand how production operations (routings,work centres, capacity constraints) are represented and managed in the supplychain system.
  • Participate intesting and validating PLM/SCM workflows , including item master setup,supplier data, and change management processes.
  • Documentcurrent-state processes and identify opportunities for workflow automationor standardization .
  • Supportcross-functional teams (engineering, quality, manufacturing, procurement) inresolving product data discrepancies.
  • Assist withreporting and dashboards to track key supply chain and PLM metrics (eg: changecycle time, BOM accuracy, etc.).
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed adegree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply ChainManagement, Manufacturing Engineering , or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar).
  • Foundational understanding of ProductLifecycle Management (PLM) concepts - item masters, BOM structures, changemanagement, revision control.
  • Exposure to production operations -manufacturing processes, routings, shop floor workflows, or lean/Six Sigmaprinciples.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solvingskills, with attention to data accuracy and process detail.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally withengineering, manufacturing, and IT stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills -comfortable documenting processes and presenting findings.
  • Prior exposure to Oracle applications (Fusion Cloud, Agile PLM) is a plus, but not required, training will beprovided.
