Job Type: Full Time, 6 Months Contract

Role purpose

Travelex is undertaking a large Finance Transformation programme implementing Oracle Fusion ERP and Oracle EPM modules on the latest SaaS Cloud technologies to replace heritage applications and unify global finance teams on a single Oracle Cloud ERPM platform.

  • The role involves designing, developing, and managing reporting solutions within Fusion REPORTING, EPM, Fusion Data Intelligence, Analytics, and other reporting solutions within the Travelex Group.
  • The candidate must understand functional business needs, interpret reporting requirements, and deliver solutions using Oracle Reporting tools, ensuring data accuracy and enhancing reporting capabilities.
  • Work closely with business teams to understand reporting needs, develop standard and custom reports, and upskill teams for self-service reporting.
  • Require strong knowledge of reporting tools including OTBI, BI Publisher, and Smart View, along with data analysis, report optimization, and data governance.
  • Understand complex multi-currency, multi-company accounting systems, maintaining high knowledge of reporting and HCM applications, especially sub-ledger, GL, and EPM reporting, with strong functional and technical expertise in Oracle reporting technology.
Key Responsibilities
  • Guide and educate the finance team on Oracle reporting tools and data insights.
  • Engage with finance stakeholders to align on strategic reporting directions, providing expert analysis and recommendations.
  • Support the build-out of a Shared Services Oracle Reporting Team capability, including training and resource planning.
  • Ensure processes and procedures are in place, resources are tested, and services meet agreed levels.
  • Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and preventative measures for reporting issues.
  • Review and approve change requests impacting reporting.
  • Support testing activities like system, integration, and user acceptance testing.
  • Assist in ad-hoc projects such as acquisitions, divestments, or joint ventures.
  • Maintain knowledge of interfaces, integrations, and data models related to reporting, working with global tech teams.
  • Guide peers in complex application configuration activities.
Skills and Experience
  • Relevant tertiary education in IT, Finance, or related fields.
  • Experience with multi-currency, multi-company accounting systems.
  • Oracle Certified Professional or similar accreditation.
  • Hands-on experience translating business requirements into reporting solutions.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience with Oracle reporting technology.
  • Exposure to Oracle Fusion Cloud and Oracle EPM (PBCS, FCCS, PBCS).
  • Understanding of Oracle applications architecture, data, and reporting flows.
