Job summary

IVC Evidensia UK is seeking a Release Management professional to own the full Oracle release lifecycle, planning, governing, testing and deploying monthly and quarterly updates. You will collaborate with the Finance Systems team, third-party partners and stakeholders across the UK and Ireland.

The role is a 9-month fixed-term contract, with one day per month based in our Keynsham office. Hybrid working from Keynsham is available, with responsibilities across mainland Europe and the UK.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years' release management experience within Oracle ERP and EPM environments.
  • Knowledge of Oracle release cycles and change request processes.
  • Experience using Jira to manage release activity and report progress.
  • Solid understanding of the SDLC, testing methodologies and deployment practices.
  • Experience working with third-party managed service providers.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Financial modules (desirable).
  • Experience in large, complex environments with high user bases and multiple integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain the Oracle release calendar and present plans to the business.
  • Coordinate regression, integration and UAT testing; identify and mitigate risks before go-live.
  • Lead deployment and cutover planning; produce runbooks and coordinate releases.
  • Manage changes through governance forums; ensure documentation and audit trails are maintained.
  • Monitor system stability after releases; track incidents and conduct post-implementation reviews.
  • Communicate release updates and major changes to the business; be the primary contact for Oracle releases.

How You'll Make a Difference

Reporting to the Head of Finance Systems, you will own the full release lifecycle across Oracle Fusion ERP and Oracle Enterprise Performance Management. You'll plan, govern, test and deploy monthly and quarterly Oracle updates alongside internal change requests, working closely with the Finance Systems team, third-party delivery partners and business stakeholders across mainland Europe, the UK and Republic of Ireland.

This is a 9-month fixed-term contract, with one day per month expected to be based in our Keynsham office.

Core Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain the Oracle release calendar, presenting plans and roadmaps to the business
  • Coordinate regression, integration and user acceptance testing, ensuring risks are identified and mitigated before go-live
  • Lead deployment and cutover planning, producing detailed runbooks and coordinating production releases
  • Take releases through the Change Enablement Board and other governance forums, ensuring documentation and audit evidence are maintained
  • Monitor system stability following each release, track incidents and lead post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned
  • Communicate release updates and major changes to the business, acting as the primary point of contact for Oracle releases and major incidents

We're looking for a capable Release Management professional who brings:

  • At least 3 years' release management experience within Oracle ERP and EPM environments
  • Working knowledge of Oracle release cycles and change request processes
  • Confidence using Jira to manage release activity, track work and report progress
  • A solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, testing methodologies and deployment practices
  • Experience working with third-party managed service providers
  • A working knowledge of Oracle Cloud Financial modules (desirable)
  • Experience working in large, complex environments with a high user base and multiple system integrations
