Job summary

IVC Evidensia, a leading veterinary services provider in Europe and North America, seeks a Finance Integration Assistant Accountant to support the integration of UK acquisitions and connect new clinics to European accounting processes.

You will coordinate administrative tasks, liaise with the Group Treasury, Payroll, and Lease teams, and work with international colleagues to ensure timely completion of the integration. AAT study and strong English are essential, with MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Studying for AAT or other accounting qualification
• Experience working with international teams/businesses
• Excellent command of English
• Experience in assistant management accounting roles
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Comfortable working in an international environment with senior stakeholders
• Top level MS Office skills
• Domestic travel may be required

Responsibilities

• Participate in virtual finance integration meetings before and after joining the group.
• Ensure administrative tasks of the integration are completed on time, including notifying suppliers of address and bank changes.
• Obtain copies of lease agreements and liaise with the group Lease team.
• Transfer bank Direct Debits and standing orders with Group Treasury for new accounts.
• Handover payroll and pension information with Payroll to resolve queries.
• Complete VAT de-registration forms and join UK VAT group.
• Carry out other duties related to the integration and finance projects as needed.
• Liaise with business support managers to attend initial finance meetings.
• Support finance and non-finance teams in answering queries related to newly acquired surgeries/businesses.
• Document handoffs to BAU leaders at end of transition and capture lessons learned for future acquisitions.
• Provide ad hoc project support for the wider finance team

Finance Integration Assistant Accountant

As Finance Integration Assistant Accountant, you will assist the Integration Accountant to ensure the smooth financial integration of acquisitions of IVC Evidensia group in UK. You will coordinate the administrative work involved in connecting new UK clinics to the European accounting and reporting processes along with other back-end reporting as quickly as possible after the acquisition. Where necessary, you will be supported by the local finance team.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

• Participating in virtual finance integration meeting in advance of joining the group and post-acquisition.
• Ensuring that the administrative tasks of completing the integration process are completed on time; including notifying suppliers of changes in address and bank details.
• Obtaining copies of all lease agreements and liaising with group Lease team.
• Ensure all bank Direct debits and standing orders are transferred, working with Group Treasury to get these set up correctly in new bank account.
• Ensuring smooth handover of payroll and pension information liaising with Payroll team to resolve any queries
• Completing necessary forms for VAT de-registration and joining of UK VAT group.
• Participation in other financial projects or carry out any other duties that may reasonably be required in line with your main responsibilities
• Liaising and building working relationships with business support managers to attend initial finance meetings
• Liaising with various finance and non-finance teams across the business to assist with answering queries in relation to the newly acquired surgeries/businesses
• Document any handoffs to BAU leaders at the end of the transition period
• Capture lessons learned and recommendations for future acquisitions
• Ad hoc project support for wider finance team

Experience/Qualifications:

Essential:

• Studying for AAT / Other Accounting qualification
• Experience in working with international teams / businesses
• Excellent command of English
• Experienced in assistant management accounting roles
• Strong attention to detail, and able to deliver right-first-time results quickly
• Comfortable in working in an international environment with senior stakeholders
• Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work well within the team, and communicate effectively but sympathetically with the surgeries.
• Top level MS Office skills
• Domestic travel may be required

Desirable:

• Prior experience in training in administrative work involved in M&A / integration
• Experience of using Oracle
