You will take a leading role on our complex Oracle Cloud implementations, working with SaaS, PaaS and IaaS components from across the Oracle portfolio, as well as open source technologies, cloud-native approaches (APIs, microservices, modern applications), and products from other cloud vendors where relevant. You will be expected to provide direction and develop robust architecture designs to meet our customers' business needs. The role may also involve supporting pre-sales activities and developing go-to-market strategies within our UK business.

Hybrid working: Your work location will vary based on your role and needs, combining Company offices, client sites, and your home, but you will not work 100% from home.

Your role

• Operate as a lead architect for adopting, designing, and implementing PaaS solutions, focusing on large-scale Oracle SaaS/PaaS/IaaS implementations and API/microservice/front-end architecture.
• Support pre-sales by explaining the architecture and benefits of Oracle PaaS and IaaS.
• Become an advocate for API management tools and cloud-native methodologies, promoting a microservices approach.
• Collaborate with Oracle UK and Capgemini teams to develop PaaS business pipelines, either independently or as part of broader Oracle offerings.
• Communicate implementation strategies and design methodologies to offshore teams.

Your skills and experience

We recognize the diverse skillsets across the Oracle PaaS landscape. While the following are key skills, experience in all is not required. We are eager to speak with candidates from traditional or cloud-based Oracle implementations or API/microservices/UI architecture backgrounds. Flexibility in architectural design and approach is essential for this role.

• Proven experience leading and implementing large-scale Oracle PaaS solutions, with knowledge across the full Oracle PaaS portfolio (Oracle API Platform, Oracle Integration Cloud, Oracle Container Engine, etc.).
• Knowledge of Oracle SaaS solutions (ERP or HCM cloud) from a technical perspective is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with Oracle eBusiness Suite and/or SOA implementations.
• Experience designing cloud-native architectures, incorporating APIs, microservices, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to build strong client relationships and identify new business opportunities, with a passion for Oracle PaaS technologies.

Your security clearance

Security Check (SC) clearance is required. To obtain SC clearance, you must have resided continuously in the UK for the last 5 years and meet other criteria. The recruitment process will include questions about your security clearance eligibility, including residency and nationality. Some roles may be restricted to UK nationals.
