About the job you’re considering

You will take a leading role on our complex Oracle Cloud implementations, working with SaaS, PaaS and IaaS components from across the Oracle portfolio, integrating open source technologies, cloud-native approaches (APIs, microservices, modern applications), and products from other cloud vendors where relevant. You will also provide direction and derive robust architecture designs to meet customer needs. The role may include supporting pre-sales activities and developing go-to-market strategies in the UK.

Hybrid working: Your work location will vary between company offices, client sites, and home, but you will not work remotely 100% of the time.

Pre-employment checks include identity, nationality/immigration status, employment history for the past 3 years, and a criminal record check (Disclosure and Barring Service).

Your role

• Lead architect for large-scale Oracle SaaS/PaaS/IaaS implementations and API/microservice/front-end architecture.
• Support pre-sales by explaining the benefits of Oracle PaaS and IaaS.
• Advocate for API management tools and a cloud-native approach.
• Collaborate with Oracle UK and Capgemini teams to develop PaaS business opportunities.
• Communicate implementation approaches to offshore teams.

Your skills and experience

We value diverse backgrounds in Oracle PaaS, whether traditional or cloud-based, and API/microservices/UI architecture. Flexibility in architectural design is key.

• Proven experience leading large-scale Oracle PaaS solutions and understanding of the full Oracle PaaS portfolio.
• Knowledge of Oracle SaaS (ERP or HCM cloud) is preferred but not essential.
• Experience with Oracle eBusiness Suite and/or SOA.
• Experience in cloud-native architecture, APIs, microservices, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to build client relationships and develop new business opportunities.

Your security clearance

Security Check (SC) clearance is required, which involves residency in the UK for the last 5 years and other criteria. Some roles may be restricted to UK nationals.
