Oracle Fusion Field Service Functional Consultant – Contract

Remote - United Kingdom

Job Title: Oracle Fusion Field Service Functional Consultant

Job type: Contract (6 months)

Hours: Full time (40-hours per week)

Location: Remote with 3 days every two weeks onsite (Reading)

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion Field Service Functional Consultant to lead the design, configuration, and implementation of Oracle Field Service (OFS) solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients and internal teams to understand business needs, translate them into effective user stories and solution designs, and deliver high-quality Oracle FS implementations.

Key responsibilities include:

Requirements Gathering:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and define detailed user stories related to field service operations.
• Provide mentorship on the structure and content of user stories and acceptance criteria (AC).
• Define and write accurate acceptance criteria in alignment with Oracle Field Service (OFS) out-of-the-box (OOTB) capabilities.
• Support estimation efforts by assigning realistic story points based on design, build, test, and deployment efforts.

Solution Design and Documentation:

• Develop and document high-level solution designs for Oracle Field Service implementations.
• Ensure solution designs align with user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Create and maintain configuration documentation to support delivered solutions.

System Configuration:

• Configure Oracle Field Service in line with approved designs and user stories.
• Ensure configuration adheres to Oracle best practices and standards.

Implementation and Integration:

• Lead the implementation lifecycle from design to deployment.
• Identify and document integration touchpoints across systems.
• Capture integration-related user stories and ensure proper mapping and configuration at the Oracle FS end.
• Collaborate with technical teams on integration development and testing.

Demonstrations and Playback:

• Conduct solution demos, sprint playbacks, and proof of concepts (PoCs) to showcase features and gather feedback.
• Provide clear and concise presentations to stakeholders and end-users.

The list of key responsibilities is not exhaustive, and the post holder may be required to undertake other relevant and appropriate duties as reasonably required. Travel should be expected as part of this role.

• Proven experience as an Oracle Field Service (OFS) Functional Consultant.
• Strong understanding of Oracle Fusion Cloud applications and OFS modules.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and user story development.
• Proficiency in writing and managing solution documentation and configurations.
• Knowledge of system integration principles and tools (REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, etc.).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead functional workshops and mentor junior consultants.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Oracle Cloud Certification in Field Service or related areas.
• Experience in end-to-end Oracle Cloud ERP implementations.
• Familiarity with other Oracle Fusion modules (e.g., CRM, Service Logistics) is a plus.
