Job summary

Nexus Jobs Limited is seeking an Oracle Developer with Oracle Forms and SQL Server for a Financial Services project in East London. The role targets 2–5 years of commercial experience in Oracle development and a background in pensions/wealth management systems is advantageous.

The candidate will create work specifications, develop using Oracle tools, liaise with clients, fix bugs, and ensure timely releases. This is a 3–6 month contract starting ASAP.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial experience in Oracle development.
• Experience with Oracle Forms and PL/SQL development.
• Experience developing software for financial services or wealth management is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Create and agree work specifications for assigned tasks before development.
• Assist with quotes for new development and amendments.
• Develop software using Oracle tools and other company technologies.
• Modify applications/databases per specifications and release notes.
• Liaise with clients to address issues promptly (email/phone/web tools).
• Fix bugs and manage patch release control.
• Adhere to coding standards and secure developments.
• Ensure specifications are met within deadlines.
• Perform unit and integration testing before releases.
• Prepare release documentation for new developments.
