Job summary

Sanderson is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator for a brand-new, long-term contract project in the public sector. The role involves upgrading the digital technology estate to reduce cyber threats and improve cyber security.

Candidates must be able to obtain NPPV3 and Security Clearance (SC) and may work remotely from Scotland. You will design, build, test, deploy, and maintain Oracle databases, ensuring availability, performance and security.

Qualifications

• Experience as Oracle DBA with hands-on design, deployment and maintenance.
• Experience ensuring availability, performance and SLA compliance.
• Ability to obtain NPPV3 and SC security clearances.

• Proven expertise in a Database Administrator role (Oracle).
• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain database systems and solutions.
• Provide expert technical guidance to colleagues, stakeholders and customers.
• Support database systems to ensure availability, performance and SLA compliance.

• Develop, implement, and maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures.
• Deploy and configure database solutions into live production environments.
• Support databases and associated tools throughout their full lifecycle.

Brand new, long-term contract opportunity to the market for a seasoned Oracle DBA, working on a large-scale project for our public sector client. You will work on a large, long-term programme of work, designed to upgrade the digital technology estate with the aim of reducing Cyber Threats and improving Cyber Security.
