We’re supporting a critical infrastructure team in the recruitment of an experienced Oracle DBA to join on a permanent basis. This is a key hire within the team, offering the opportunity to take ownership of a large and complex Oracle estate that underpins approximately 30 business-critical applications.
This role would suit a hands‑on Oracle DBA who enjoys balancing operational support with continuous improvement, helping to ensure the stability, performance and resilience of a highly available database environment. You’ll work closely with infrastructure and application teams, playing a key role in maintaining service continuity while contributing to the long‑term evolution of the platform.
Joining an established team, you’ll be responsible for the day‑to‑day administration, support and optimisation of a substantial Oracle estate. The role offers a blend of BAU support, database engineering and ongoing improvement initiatives, providing the opportunity to influence best practice and strengthen the organisation’s database capability.
This is very much an Oracle-focused position, requiring someone who can confidently manage complex database environments while helping to maintain the availability, security and performance of critical systems.
We’re looking for a genuine Oracle DBA specialist who enjoys working in a complex technical environment and takes pride in delivering stable, reliable database services. You’ll be comfortable operating autonomously, building strong relationships with stakeholders and contributing to both day‑to‑day operations and longer‑term improvements across the database estate.
If you’re looking for a permanent opportunity where you can make a tangible impact within a critical infrastructure environment, we’d be keen to discuss the role with you in more detail.
