Job summary

Family Building Society is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our Core Banking Services team in the UK. The role is a 2 year fixed term contract focused on stability, security, and performance of our critical banking platforms.

You will administer, maintain and improve Oracle database environments, covering backups, disaster recovery and Data Guard, with opportunities to work on automation and system enhancements in a collaborative, friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Strong Oracle DBA experience.
• Experience with Oracle Data Guard.
• Backup and recovery expertise.
• Oracle security knowledge including TLS configuration.
• SQL, PL/SQL and shell scripting skills.
• A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Experience in financial services, transaction processing environments, or core banking platforms would be advantageous but is not essential.
