Business Solutions Architect based in Boston or London

The Finance Change Delivery (FCD) Business Solution Architect will be responsible for delivering the Oracle Target Operating Model for Finance, collaborating with multiple business and support teams across State Street. This role manages all change requests for the Oracle footprint to ensure alignment with the global design and seeks opportunities to streamline finance and organizational outcomes. The architect will liaise with IT Strategy and Architecture Teams, Business Stakeholders, and Project teams to identify, design, and deliver solutions aligned with strategy. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to manage complex design roadmaps, build relationships, and manage stakeholder expectations.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Drive the business solution for Finance’s Oracle Cloud Global Design, ensuring alignment with Architecture Roadmaps, strategies, principles, and standards, supported by IT Architecture Lead, Support teams, Business Analysts, and Business Leads.
2. Analyze change requests, providing feedback, guidance, impact assessments, and utilizing relevant SMEs.
3. Interact with work-stream leads, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of commitments.
4. Control artefacts, Target Operating Model, and Solution Design Documents; anticipate and resolve scope discrepancies, resourcing issues, and quality concerns.
5. Assess impact of departures from global design, refine plans, and communicate with stakeholders.
6. Identify and engage relevant stakeholders to remove barriers and gain consensus.
7. Coordinate design communications, metrics reporting, risk management, and issue resolution.
8. Maintain internal controls, address deficiencies, and promote continuous improvement using out-of-the-box functionality and process redesign.
9. Act in accordance with Risk Excellence and ethical standards.
10. Engage stakeholders at all levels to ensure solutions are understood, supported, and aligned with business needs.
11. Guide project management to adopt suitable, cost-effective delivery models.
12. Liaise with technical teams, map process flows, and ensure solutions consider business processes.
13. Facilitate diverse viewpoints to build consensus on functionality, process changes, and priorities.

• Comfortable with ambiguity and capable of clarifying complex challenges for teams and stakeholders.
• Exhibit excellent management and leadership skills.

Qualifications, Skills & Expertise

• Experience as a Business Solution Architect in at least one end-to-end implementation involving a global customer or full ERP suite.
• Knowledge of Oracle Cloud modules, certifications, integrated solutions, and systems architecture.
• Proven ability to design, influence, and deliver end-to-end solutions with diverse stakeholders.
• Understanding of risk management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to relate technical concepts to business audiences.
• Experience working in fast-paced environments with a focus on quality outcomes.
• Minimum 10 years of experience implementing Oracle ERP Solutions.
• Experience in Banking or Financial Services.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
• Understanding of Oracle ERP/EPM Cloud Business and Product processes.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Excel, and Word.
