Job summary

Asda Opticians in Great Yarmouth is seeking a dedicated Optometrist to join our team. The role focuses on high-quality eye examinations, contact lens care, and extended service examinations.

You will work with our Dispensing Optician Manager to coach colleagues and uphold departmental standards. We support NHS contracted services and encourage you to gain additional accreditations with funded CPD and flexible development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC.
• Willingness to gain NHS Performer List accreditation within 12 months (funded by Asda).
• On track to meet CPD points requirements.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and service.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye examinations and extended service examinations.
• Perform contact lens assessments and evaluations.
• Collaborate with Dispensing Optician Manager for coaching and standards.
• Support NHS extended service contracts and pursue additional accreditations as needed.
• Develop new patient services and improve departmental performance.
