Job summary

OutsideClinic is seeking an Optometrist to join our home-visit team in Newcastle upon Tyne and surrounding areas. You will conduct one-hour appointments, delivering clinically excellent eye care in patients' homes, with autonomy but access to senior support when needed.

This role offers a market-leading salary up to £74,000, a strong bonus structure, a fully expensed company car, and a flexible four- or five-day week with weekends off. Training for new equipment and CPD support are included.

• Visit patients at home and conduct comprehensive optometry examinations (1 hr appointments).
• Make autonomous clinical decisions with support from senior optometrist team when needed.
• Utilize latest equipment (digital fundus camera, mobile slit lamp, I-care tonometer, digital records system).
• CPD support and time to complete exams as required.

We're on the lookout for an optometrist in Newcastle who wants to help us achieve our mission of changing people's lives through clinically excellent eye care.

This is an important hire for us as we have a waiting list of patients in the area who are eager to get access to our trusted at-home service.

We're a flexible employer, and you can choose the number of days you work to fit around family and other commitments - plus we never work weekends!

Equipment

All of our Optometrists are provided with a full equipment kit, along with comprehensive training to ensure you feel confident before working independently. You can view our equipment in action here

You will:

• Help around 6-7 patients every day, visiting them in their own homes. Our appointments are longer than you’d get on the high street (1 hr), allowing you time to form better relationships with your patients and deliver gold-standard customer care.

• Be trusted to make autonomous decisions and valued for your expertise. Although you'll never be on your own as you can get support or a second opinion in minutes from our senior optometrist team at head office.

• Use the very latest equipment, including a digital fundus camera, mobile slit lamp, I-care tonometer and our industry-leading digital records system, which means no paperwork.

• Be supported with your CPD. We'll invest in you and give you the time to complete exams if required.
