Your Role

A typical day involves screening patients, coaching and training the wider team, and helping to maintain standards in the department. We are passionate about supporting our Optometrists with comprehensive training to fulfill their roles and enhance their skills. Our CPD programme is excellent, and we offer protected time for Optometrists to complete further accreditations funded by Asda, ensuring you meet the evolving eye care needs of our customers.

We are dedicated to developing and supporting your full potential. You will have access to in-store, regional, and home office teams for support, whether your queries are clinical or service-related. There is always someone available to offer expert advice and support.

About You

Working with an Optical Manager (a qualified Dispensing Optician), you will play a key role in fostering an environment of clinical and operational excellence.

By collaborating with the wider department team, you will support coaching, training, and the development of new patient services to ensure we offer current and accessible services tailored to our customers' needs.

You'll be:

• A fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC
• A registered performer with your NHS area team or health board
• MECs or WECs accredited (or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months of joining, funded and supported by us)
• On track to meet the statutory points requirement for CPD
• Passionate about delivering a memorable customer experience
• Enthusiastic about developing new patient services and shaping the department's culture
