Job summary

Boots Opticians in Inverness is seeking a proactive Optometrist to deliver high-quality patient care using the latest testing technology. You’ll lead clinics, triage, mentor colleagues, and contribute to a supportive store team.

You’ll be GOC registered (or near registration), NHS performer number, and excel in communication and organisation while building strong local clinical networks and advancing enhanced services.

Qualifications

• GOC registered (or expecting to be within 6 months).
• NHS performer number (or working towards it).
• Confident, compassionate and patient-focused.
• Excellent communication and organisation skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading clinics and delivering outstanding patient care.
• Using the latest testing technology to assess eye health and provide expert advice.
• Providing enhanced services, from triage support to advanced assessments.
• Offering clinical support to colleagues on the shop floor.
• Collaborating with external healthcare professionals.
• Keeping your clinical knowledge up to date and sharing it with others.
• Playing a key role in your store’s leadership team.
