Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Leading clinics and providing specialist care and advice to all patients.
  • Testing eyes using the latest technology whilst maintaining outstanding patient care.
  • Delivering enhanced services dependent on the store needs.
  • Responding to emergency triages.
  • Working with external healthcare professionals.
  • Providing clinical support to team members on the shop floor.
  • Providing advice to patients using your clinical knowledge.
  • Keeping up to date with the latest clinical practices.
  • Working closely with senior stakeholders.

What you’ll need to have:

The essential skills or experience needed to succeed in this role:

  • GOC registered (or expecting to be in the next 6 months).
  • Additional registration with the relevant NHS body.
  • Drive to deliver excellent patient care.
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills.

Need To Know

Optometrists - we are very excited to be recruiting for our fantastic practice at Boots Opticians in Ashford high street. We are looking for a qualified optometrist to join an amazing team on a Full-time basis, working alternate weekends. The store is an approximate 10 minute walk from the Ashford international train station. The fast speed train gets you into London in 40 mins and is also located next door to the Ashford designer shopping outlet. There is also free colleague parking located at the store. We currently have 2 testing rooms in this practice with hearing care, benefitting from brilliant equipment including a Phoropter and octomap machine to utilise in our journey to provide the best services to our customers and patients. You will join our brilliant team of 7 which includes a DO with over 20 years experience and an SDO who will be qualified soon.
