Are you an Optometrist looking for more time with your clients?

At Bayfields Opticians & Audiologists, we believe great eye care starts with having the time to really understand our clients.

We are looking for a passionate full time Optometrist to join our friendly team in our Stony Stratford practice, for 4 days per week covering Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 9am - 5:30pm and Saturday 9am - 4pm.

Why Bayfields?

When you join Bayfields, you are joining an independent business where our clients are at the heart of everything we do.

Our Welcome, Discover, Delight client journey is central to how we work. We give every client a 45-minute eye examination, giving you the time to understand their individual needs, lifestyle and visual requirements before recommending the right solutions for them.

If you are looking for a role where you can focus on quality rather than rushing through appointments, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll have access to the latest diagnostic equipment and technological advances in contact lenses, spectacle lenses and frames. Our premium frame collection includes brands such as Tom Ford, Prada, Gucci, Maui Jim, Wolf, Continental, Ray-Ban, BOSS and Ralph Lauren.

As our Optometrist, you will:

• Deliver high-quality, patient-focused eye examinations in line with GOC and College of Optometry guidelines.
• Take the time to understand each client’s needs, lifestyle and visual requirements.
• Recommend the most appropriate clinical and optical solutions for each individual.
• Build strong, trusted relationships with our loyal client base.
• Work closely with the wider practice team to deliver an obsessively great client experience.
• Support, mentor and guide our newly qualified Optometrist.
• Keep up to date with clinical developments and continue to develop your professional skills.

We are looking for a qualified and experienced GOC-registered Optometrist who:

• Is passionate about delivering exceptional clinical care.
• Takes pride in providing a genuinely personalised client experience.
• Enjoys having the time to get to know their clients.
• Is confident recommending solutions based on individual needs and lifestyle.
• Is a supportive team player who enjoys sharing knowledge and developing others.
• Wants to be part of a friendly, independent business where their expertise is valued.

What we offer:

• Competitive salary - up to £55,454.55 pro rata per annum (=70k FTE per annum).
• Paid professional fees, including GOC registration and professional indemnity insurance (currently through the AOP).
• 45-minute eye examinations, giving you more time with every client.
• A well-established practice with a loyal client base.
• Access to the latest diagnostic equipment and technology.
• A fantastic range of premium frames, including Tom Ford, Prada, Gucci, Maui Jim, Wolf and Continental.
• A friendly and collaborative team environment.
• Opportunities for professional development and career growth.
• The opportunity to support and mentor a newly qualified Optometrist.

Why Bayfields?
